Saturday morning around 9:30am, we went rafting on the French Broad River near Asheville. We were on the river all morning and into the afternoon, with a stop at a picnic area complete with gas grills to cook up a pile of hot dogs and burgers. The river was a little low, so the rapids were more technical than "exciting," but it was still a good time with the guys. We did several things to make the ride more exciting, including setting up 'water hazards' for the other rafts, and deliberately flipping the boat.
