LA Zoo

Amanda and I decided to give the LA Zoo a second chance, after a very hot and generally disappointing visit a few years ago. We went on a whim, after driving past the Zoo exit on a very cool Saturday and thinking "that would be a good thing to do tomorrow!" We also had the idea that we could get an annual family pass, since we live so close, and become regular patrons with Baby. Well, this visit was fairly disappointing as well. It was hot (there is very little shade), crowded, and many of the exhibits were empty or under construction. (Did this lead to our little hospital scare?) I used my zoom lens, and actually got some great photos, which are disparate with our overall experience. Needless to say, we didn't buy that family pass.
