Katie Craft, a long-time friend from undergrad at VT, came to Los Angeles for a week-long course at JPL, and we got to spend a full weekend with her before she vanished into her studies. Upon arriving in LA we went down to Redondo Beach to have lunch on the pier. We strolled down Rodeo Drive, got a snack at Diddy Riese, and saw the Hollywood sign from the Griffith Observatory. Not bad for one afternoon, after a cross-country flight!
