At Paul & Gen's invitation, we drove town to Temecula for the annual balloon and wine festival there. For about $18/person, you get access to a large fair, several stages with live music, plenty of food booths, the wine-tasting booths (tasting is for a fee), and the evening balloon activity.
One of the coolest (and most photographed) events of the evening was the 'balloon glow,' were about a dozen teams inflated their balloons, and then (more or less) on the announcer's cue burned their torches to light up the balloons. It makes for a very cool display.
